Back in the 80's, Tears for Fears had several hits, most of which are favorites of mine. After a well past decades long hiatus, they put out a new album "The Tipping Point", with the title track putting out a video last December to promote it. It's a new favorite of mine (If you ever get the chance, check out the albums The Hurting, Songs from the Big Chair and the tunes Sowing the Seeds of Love, Advice for the Young at Heart, Laid so Low, Elemental. Emilia stands at the porch of her broken home, somehow trying to pick up the pieces of her now shattered life. Wearily, she looks out on the land before her, and finds herself seeing a memory from the past. A younger and fuller of hope Emilia looking up at the family Christmas Tree. How happy she seemed then. Anyway, it's kinda been rattling around in my head for awhile, as well as the idea of a silhouette dancer against a moon backdrop. The idea of doing with the 4 main phases of the moon popped into my head and "BOOM", something clicked. Here's another design I've turned in for the T-shirt contest at this coffee shop in Lexington, KY. Me and my wife both have things there. I have art, my wife brings her knitting to sell.
